1Better is designed with privacy as a foundational principle, not an afterthought. We believe your personal goals and progress data belong to you and only you. The app is built to function entirely on-device without requiring any data to leave your phone.
None. 1Better does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Specifically:
All your data — goals, daily logs, streaks, milestones, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data exists only on your device and is protected by your device's built-in security (passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID).
If you delete the app, all associated data is permanently removed from your device. There is no cloud backup or recovery option provided by 1Better.
1Better does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not:
As an iOS app distributed through the App Store, Apple may collect certain standard diagnostics (such as crash reports) if you have opted into sharing analytics with app developers through your iOS Settings. This data is anonymized by Apple and does not include any of your personal goal or progress data. You can control this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
1Better may request permission to send local notifications to remind you to log your daily progress. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — no data is sent to any external server. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
1Better does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Since the app collects no personal information from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children's data.
In accordance with Apple's App Store requirements, 1Better's privacy nutrition label declares that no data is collected from users. This is accurate and reflects the app's design.
Because we don't collect any data, there is nothing to request, export, or delete from our end. Your data lives entirely on your device under your control. You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the app.
If we ever change our data practices, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Any material changes will be communicated through the app or our website.
